Ruger LCP back from repair.

Sent my LCP back to Ruger after jamming constantly. Back after 5 weeks. New extracter, and Barrel repaired. Probably feed ramp worked on.  JHP 's still jam but ball ammo runs good (100 rounds fired). Will run another 100 or so through it and see what happens.  Horsefeathers.....

I would be upset that the JHP don't work well. That is the main reason and the ammo to carry, if you are going to use as a carry gun.

I heard of a few of the LCP's going back for the same reason, that is why I went with the Kal-tec. Mine feeds everything I have put in it.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm... I'm surprised.

I thought Ruger would start with the "working" Kel-Tec and improve on Kel-Tec's design.  Looks like THAT isn't happening, eh?

My P3AT Kel-Tec .380 from which the Ruger LCP is OBVIOUSLY designed works with every brand of hollow-point ammo I have used in it.  It doesn't seem it will work when the slide is functioned by hand, but when fired by pulling the trigger, it has fed the hollow point cartridge just fine since it stopped jamming after 125 rounds when new.

I am confident Ruger Customer Service will get it "right"... eventually.

Mine has feed everything I have put through it.  Remington 88gr jhp, magtech, 77gr solid copper hp, monarch 95 gr hp, winchester 95 fmj ( has a flat nose).  I have heard though that the earily ones would not feed corbon ammo.  Hope it gets going for ya, it is a nice gun.

Mine's been back once for jamming as well.  I can't run standard off-the-shelf Remington UMC through it.  I've tried three different batches.  When it was returned, the repair report listed a new extractor, barrel repair, and that 96 rounds were fired through it without issue.  I called Ruger to ask what ammo they use.  The lady there told me that she thought they were using some Black Hills ammo, but couldn't verify it at that time as the techs were on the range.  She went on to say that they'd had some trouble with Remington and Cor-Bon. 

I bought some Blazer recently, but haven't made time to try it out yet.  (It runs through my P3AT just fine....)  I really want to like this little pistol, but it hasn't convinced me yet.  (And I'm a little bummed about that.)

I just got my LCP, very pleased with accuracy. No problems, but just shot Winchester  White box solids so far. Rapid fire at 10 yards put all 7 in a 12" circle........
