.327 Handi?
« on: August 06, 2008, 04:49:35 PM »
Is it in the works and I overlooked it? Also, why not a .32 H&R Magnum, I know it will chamber in the .327 but it is an H&R chambering, their only, why not in the Handi?

Nope, I wouldn't count on any new offerings in the coming year, their intent is to improve what's available, even the existing lineup may be thinned while that happens. Add your desires to the Wish List in the FAQs, there are several pages wishes already listed.

They exist, I have built one of each, and I have two more 32 barrels sitting in the corner just waiting...................  Larry

I'm still wondering what the point of the .327 Federal was in the first place.  It's almost as good as many existing cartridges.

I agree Swampy, it is too much for small game, not enough for big game, and there are much better choices for varmint. From a rifle it would about duplicate the .30 carbine round but without the advantage of a light semi-auto carbine to fire it. It was developed for compact revolvers where it does offer the questionable advantage of six shots instead of five and with less recoil than a .357 but is totally dependant on the expansion of a hollow point bullet.
The story of David & Goliath only demonstrates the superiority of ballistic projectiles over hand weapons, poor old Goliath never had a chance.
