I suppose it was the neocons pressure tactics that enabled N. Korea to develop nuke missiles too Of course, it had nothing to do with 8 years of Clinton appeasement and literally giving the North Koreans money to allegedly help feed their people but Kim used it to fund his nuclear ambitions. And of course it was not Reagan's (neocon) and his pressure tactics against communist Russia that led them to finally giving up the empire, end the cold war which enabled a financial peace dividend for the USA.... naaa. That credit goes to the Liberals of course. It was Liberal appeasement that caused Russia to cease and end the cold war

And of course 8 years of Clinton's appeasement of the terrorists had nothing to do with them breaching our boarders that led to 9-11... naaaa...... The neocons are responsible for 9-11 because they tried putting pressure Clinton to act....

You don't need to rely on opinion on this. Its a fact, the US supports Israel financially and militarily. The question is, is it the right or wrong thing to do? Is Israel stirring up the pot, not sure. Do they have a right to exist? Yes. I think the Arabs have done an excellent job of stirring up the pot all over the planet and regardless of all of their grievances, everyone has the right to fight against their radical BS. If you don't, then you accept their position that only radical Muslims have a right to exist.

  1) They are living where they are surrounded by Islamic militant fanatics, so they don't have to stir things up..their neighbors will.

  2) Israel is not looking to annex more land. If that were so, they would not have given the Sinai Peninsula back to Egypt.

  3) Israel has never threatened to simply wipe any Muslim nations "off the map"(other than self defense)..the way they have been threatened time after time.

  4) From what I see, Israel doesn't have a lot on "no work" people loafing around the streets, dreaming up mischief and terror.

  5) Israel is busy doing real work, developing things science, chemicals, technology, manufacturing etc..what Arab countries are so busy ?
       (remember: Idle hands are the devil's work shop !)
  6) All the major conflicts between Israel and her neighbors (Yom Kippur and the "six day" war) were all cases of the
    Arabs encroaching upon Israeli territory. The world watched the Arab nations marshall their forces at the border before the war started.
  Not the Israeli's fault they kicked Arab butt..any self-respecting nation would do the same...

  The Georgian Govt is not a dictatorship, it was duly elected by the people, the leader is truly a president..not an emperor or dictator.
    The Georgian people had enough dictators under the Communists..and it appears that "Vlad the impaler" is trying for dictator ship again.
  They didn't want it under Communism and they don't want it now
 
     The Georgians are not harboring or training terrorists or breaking loser's war agreements nor do they have or are developing WMD...
  It wasn't Georgians that slipped the nuclear soup to the ex-Russian spy Alexander Litvenenko in London, or poisoned the president of the Ukraine.
       
    So, why are Russian forces in Georgia

  such connection. Frankly, I expect Georgia to be joining NATO..along with Poland whose membership should recieve "shot in the arm", due to the Russian aggression.
  Of course it depends greatly upon some countries of "old Europe"  whether if they have the intestinal fortitude or not !
 
   Perhaps not you, but I see Putin as trying to resurrect the old Russian empire of the czars. His moves all point that way. Clearly it was George Bush's failing when

  It is a given that Russia has a right to self defense and to be allowed to set up any defensive system it wants, as long as it doesn't break international law in doing so..

  Should Russia have a right to dictate to Poland just what they can have for defense ?  If the Roumanians were invited by Canada to build anti missle sites in Ontario,
   would we be justified in invading Canada, for that reason ?  Such simple questions surely must have a simple, one word answer..

Georgia is Orthodox Christian, just like Russia.  However some Russians were living in the two breakaway provinces.  Georgia was becoming more westernized, their economy was booming, etc.  They have a multiparty system of government.  Religion didn't have anything to do with this.  There was only one oil pipeline coming out of central Asia to the west that did not cross Russian territory and it was controled by BP and came through Georgia then through Turkey (a Muslim state, but in NATO).  Russia just wanted control of ALL oil flowing out of central Asia to be able to tack on an additional charge, and to be able to shut it off if and when they desired.  The Central Asian countries are currently allied with us in regards to Afghanistan.  Their oil currently flows west through Russia to Western Europe.  So, Russia just wants to control it all.  The two breakaway Russian majority provinces of Georgia is what Russia used as and excuse to invade.  They went far beyond these two provinces.  Poland and the Czech Republic are already in NATO.  The Ukraine and Georgia were next in line to join.  Romania, Bulgaria and Hungry either are already and/or in line to join.  Most are also joining the European Union.  Russia has just lost her old Empire and has made a lot of money off oil, so they are wanting some of the old territory back.

    world-wide missle defense system, even sharing secret technology with them..there they also declined..
