« on: August 09, 2008, 01:44:39 PM »
Wow, went the gun show today. God bless this great country and our second amendment! Just like christmas ,i can never sleep before a show anyway back to the topic. I got a H&R 450 Marlin Ultra Rifle wearing a 3-9x40 Bushnell with Leapold rifleman rings 280$ out the door! Got a bunch of reloading stuff to. This rifle is a real beaut. Lam stock is brown with checkered stock and foreend. Cant wait to go range this cannon so i can reload this brass . Bought my first press etc last month so reloading is new. Gotta learn how to post pictures next. Happy Hunting

Congrats, they are nice. I had one & it shot good indeed! I shot a couple of Bucks with it & then I bought a Marlin XLR in 45-70. I saw no need in both & reluctantly sold the 450. I would advise you to think about moving the 3X9 Bush. to another rifle/barrel of lessor caliber. The 450 is not brutal, but it has some recoil & enough to warrant a little more eye relief. I would advise 3.5" plus & 4"plus is even better. Check your Bush, but most 3X9 Bush. are 3".
