Status of 22 Hornet Barrels ?

Members:  I believe I had read where the 22 Hornet barrels are no longer being produced, but I can't seem to find any verification of this on the forum.  Does anyone have any knowledge about this caliber barrel and its availability from the accessory barrel program?  TIA

Getting valid info out of H&R/Remington CS seems futile right now but the 22 Hornet was discontinued for 2008 as a complete rifle. There may be some accessory barrels left and it's always possible that Remington will continue to offer it as an accessory barrel only as H&R has with other barrels that were dropped as rifles like the 450 Marlin and 357mag, but it's still on the list. Check your PMs

Is there a list of the dropped calibers in the FAQ's? Didn't realize .357 was one. Got the impression it was popular....

Even as popular as it is, the 357mag was dropped as a complete rifle several years ago, it was only available as an accessory barrel until they brought it back as an SB1-S35 for 2008. The original had a wood stock, the new 357mag has a synthetic stock.

This may have been asked before but...
Are the .357 barrels on the complete guns the same (chamber dimensions) as the acc. barrels??
It seems that the .357 and .44 mag complete guns can only be fitted with those particular barrels due to the SB1 frame.
Are those two barrels like the 45/.410? Having alot of freebore to lessen pressure??
Is H&R selling two different .357 barrels??

Can't answer that, but the SB2 357 barrel has lots of freebore already, can't imagine them making another barrel just for the SB1 rifles.
