Anybody seein' Black Bears on the Kenai
« on: July 29, 2003, 05:23:39 PM »
Got an Army buddy coming out this weekend to look for black bears.  Where might I find 'em his time of year on the Kenai?  Berries are out on base -- how about on the Kenai?

We saw three black bears this weekend.  Two Friday night near Crow Pass and one near Hope.  My buddy had a blast and will be back in September.  We actually got 200 yds from one bear but the grass was just to high to sit and shoot.  Oooops!!!  We left the walking sticks in the truck...
