Thanks for the fuse lighting info intoodeep and Douglas, but we just forgot to bring our pizo-electric propane bottle rig which is THE ONLY thing to use on the prairie where we usually shoot. We went through ALL KINDS of lighting devices and we evenyually went to what 95% of those guys at the Casper, WY cannon shoot use, which is Hank Hill's favorite steak scorching gas, Propane.
As for the muzzle dip, we recalculated the preponderance and find it to be correct at 8 pounds. Remember that this is an exact 1/6th scale rifled cannon. Every full scale Parrott 10 Pdr. we have seen shoot, does precisely the same thing. Maybe Artilleryman can tell us why.
Capsquares are not necessary for all those reasons everyone discussed in the previous thread on shooting the 7" Treble-Banded Brooke Rifle.
Regards,
Tracy and Mike
