Is it OK to use teflon tape on the breechplug threads instead of using antiseize? Any problems arise from doing this? TIA. Mike

I use the pink teflon tape, one layer on the threads with a tiny dab of a good breech plug grease, anti-seize or even Bore Butter on the forward threads. Works well for me. Takes a couple of strokes with a wire brush to loosen the strands that will be left after a shooting session.

I tried the teflon tape scene... white - yellow - pink.... not crazy about the results because it causes more work to apply & remove it -- you can't double-layer it or it's a bi*ch to thread -- then you still need to apply some sort of grease to the first few threads of the plug if you plan on shooting for awhile.

If you plan on shooting up to 15-20 shots with 100 grain loads & you want to remove your breechplug as easy as you installed it, get yourself Gorilla Grease.

Click on google.com... print gorilla grease in the search bar... pick out a retailer.... buy it... put it on the threads.... shoot the rifle till you're blue in the face... remove the breechplug without effort... end of problem or concern.

I dont know about the tape,but stainless steel breech plugs are bear to get out if you have done some heavy shooting with 777.
The traditions inline i had didnt have a ss plug and it came out with little effert,the knight with the ss plug is a bear to get out i found out.
Best to remove it or loosen it up at the end of a shooting session when its still hot,comes out much easyer than when it cools down.

I tried tape on my Omega, and had to soak the breechplug off. I think I'll stck with Knight grease.

Used TC bullet lube for past 12 years for all breech plugs and have never had any problem getting them out. I shoot 50-75 rounds at range even 150 gr loads and still no trouble. If the bullet lube can hold up to a conical going down the barrel it should hold up to breech plug behind the fire. Its the brown lube and I haven't had a need to change.
