BC vs. Handi
« on: August 16, 2008, 12:42:39 PM »
I'm thinking about buying a Buffalo Classic in 45-70.  The question I have is, will the other various caliber barrels for the Handi fit the Buffalo Classic.  For example, could I make a .223 out of it by adding a Handi .223 barrell?

Yes.

The Buffalo Classic uses the same frame (sb-2) as the other Handi's.
It just looks different because it's color case hardened and the others have a standard blue.

Send it in the the factory and they can fit a .223 barrel.

I had a 24" fluted bull barrel 22-250 added by the factory to my Buffalo Classic.

"it's color case hardened"

I think it actually just a faux finish that looks like color case hardened.
