Best de4bate format ever..

     Last night I saw the best presidential debate format ever seen on TV (IMO).

  Although, having read his definitive book and observed his church operations, I am no fan of Rick Warren; I must admit he ran the fairest and best debate I have ever seen
  on the TV.
  The two participants had equal time, were asked basically the same questions (ones most of us want answered), and they were not allowed to "feed off" each other.
  They were not allowed hear answers given by the opponent, which means their answers truly were their answers.
     
    I started watching the debate by being mildly luke-warm toward McCain..but only as an antidote toward the most liberal Senator of all..and all his radical/liberal policies.

   By the time I watched carefully the answers from both candidates, I was moved to become a John McCain supporter; simply because he is so right on so many issues.

    Questions;
     
     Abortion ?: Obama first equivocated, stumbled..but when pressed, he wouldn't even rule out partial-birth abortions..McCain.."I'm pro-life"..

     When does life begin?: Again, Obama stumbled, trying to find a "spin'..finally saying, "that question is above my pay grade" (Obama, it's not above MY pay grade, ..IG)
      Faced with the same question, McCain quickly replied..2 words, "at conception"
     
     Does evil exist ?: Obama spun a bit and finally did admit that it exists..in Darfur and in his mean streets of Chicago. McCain had no problem with the question saying, it
   exists in the radical Islam of Afghanistan & Iraq and Al Queda....sources Obama either overlooked or preferred not to mention. He added that evil is spreading itself
  throughout the world, esp with radical Islam.

   What do we do about evil: Obama said, "we must HUMBLY approach evil" going on to imply that we are an evil nation..McvCain's answer "defeat it"..
 
   When asked who are some they would pick as primary advisers, should they become president..McCain started out with..General Petraeus..Obama..his wife, Michelle..
       ...guess I need not comment here.

     McCain's answers were sharp, clear and to the point..and I discovered he has a wonderful sense of humor..and that completely "off the cuff" in reply to Warren's
  questions.

  One thing that led to a great debate was that they were before a quiet, polite audience that was respectful of both candidates..,

  Don't recall if there was anything said about questions in advance..but they would not have been needed because every one was one that they should have
  expected to be asked of them..even such questions as "does evil exist ?" or "when does life begin"..should have recieved a quick, simple reply simply because
  these are questions each of us should have worked out long ago.

   When asked what Supreme Court justices he would NOT have appointed;

   Obama: Scalia, Roberts and Thomas'

    McCain: Ginsberg, Souter, Breyer and a couple other far lefties

   much said there..

Didn't know it was on til I ran accross it. I saw about 20 min of Mccain and was impressed. Don't see how obama could even attemp to win evangelical support being pro gay and pro death, no Christian there. POWDERNAN.

Yeah, I watched part of it.  I turned it on, part way through McGore's time.  Some of his answers were pretty good--I only hope he really means what he said.

I watched some of the repeats of Osama and didn't see anything different.  I did think he tailored his answers to the church audience, but I think McGore did too.

I thought some of the questions were a little sappy and could have been time spent on issues more specific to our present problems.  I'm not too interested in what either one of those guys thought was their most significant moral dilemma, or for that matter, what their position on abortiion is.  I'm as conservative and right wing as anyone, but I'll be damned if I give a crap how many Dumbycrats are aborted.

Now I suppose there will have to be a similar forum by a black preacher in a black church.  Oh boy!

 If there were just as polite, quiet and respectful audience...I would be glad to see it ! Bound to be better than what the big 3 "nutworks" do..

Well fat boy rush was going crazy on the radio on McCain how he was going to stick a knife in the back of the base by picking a VP that's pro choice or Dem. I SAY MCCAIN IS A FAKE. AND WILL SAY ANTTHING TO GET IN.

  While I understand where you come from,and I fully admit that paul had the best DOMESTIC policies, I believe his international outlook is faulty.
  Furthermore, any third party effort in order to succeed will have to start building support a minimum of about 8 years before the election they hope to win;
  don't know who could afford that..outside of some snake like Geo Soros..

  To your second statement..I don't have any administration.and where can I find PROOF that Soros is CIA..seems that some folks recently got in much legal trouble
  simply because they were ACCUSED of outing a female clerk that worked for the CIA.

  Where did you get the info about McCain having advanced info as to the debate..ABC, NBC, CBS, Washington Post or Times? Wall street Journal ?

   Actually as I stated before, and most people can see, prior knowledge of the questions would not help the honest man, since the questions asked have been for
  the most part, thought over and settled in most people's minds.
  I could have answered them just as quickly as did McCain..I would only need to hesitate if I were trying to "spin"..

Not really...I listen to what all sources have to say from time to time. So, Andrea Mitchell, wife of Greenspan who was trusted with running our monetary system for years and years, is commie libber liar,,,is that what you're saying... you 'll have to prove that assertion.? I mean we know we aren't going to hear about this cone-of-silence issue from Fix News.  BTW...I think GOPUSA even had a little piece on this cone-of silence being alittle exageration. Just so you know I'm not voting for your guy McCain or Obama, I'm just commenting on the spin cycle we have right now.

Also, btw,,,,might just be a trial balloon, but perhaps your arch conservative McCain may be going with dual citizen Leiberman, pro-abortion, anti-gunner, chosenist foreign policy, perpetual war democrat as his VP.... If he does LOL...we need to change the rules of succession to the presidency and fast if McCain can not fullfill his term and he is talking one term for himself.

Yes, she says whatever she can when she can to help Dems. Actually the burden of proof is on her, not on me. No one can verify that McCain had
this advance info & she has not proved it. Actually, the "preacher" said he gave questions in advance to BHO & was going to do the same foe McCain, but he did not get that chance. Barak is just goofy.

  Again, there is no proof, just rumor that advanced info was provided..consider all the hysterical, desperate lies that were bandied about after the 2000 election.
  There is no doubt in my mind, even if such were true..it would be a waste of time ! When a man KNOWS where he stands and doesn't have need of "spin",
  quick replies such as McCain gave are truly easy !

  I know that I could have answered the same questions just as quickly and just as easily..even with the same basic answers..
