Old Paper shotgun hulls
« on: August 18, 2008, 05:37:34 PM »
I was given this past week about 23 old paper shotgun hulls, all of them are primed.  Some of the primers look like the ones we  use today.  The 209 with the brass center and a silver ring around the center.  Others have just a solid brass primer.  The person who gave them to me is in his 80's and does not remember how long he has had them but he said they are really old.  They all all new and there are names printed on the hulls.  I have tried looking them up on the internet but have not been able to find any information.  Can anyone please give me a place to start looking so that I can try and identify the hulls.  I am trying to find out if they are worth anything.  I would like to return them to him and tell him they have a value.  He could sell them and have money to reload.  Thanks for your help.  Dudley
