Looking for part for Ted Williams/Voere .22 semi-auto rifle
« on: August 19, 2008, 08:12:18 AM »
I'm looking for a cocking handle assembly for a Ted Williams model 870 made by Voere. It's a semi auto .22 rifle that looks to be well built except for a couple of plastic parts( like the cocking handle). This is probably one of those parts alot of the rifles end up needing as the main sources don't have one. If you have one you don't need or know of a source just holler. Thanks alot.

Get a Numrich catalog and cross reference that rifle to the real maker and then you may be able to find the need parts. That is Sears house brand rifle it may have something like 103.xxxx on it if so then you can cross reference it in the there catalog.

Thanks. The rifle is made by Voere in Austria and is listed in Numrich's. They just don't have the part. Neither does Jack First. Hopefully someone will have one.  Thanks again.  greer

Hate to sound like a "smart A__" but have you tried Sears? Ted Williams was a Sears brand. AND sometimes they have parts piled up in warehouses... Try calling a couple big stores in big cities and ask. And, often, they are still selling at a price from 5? 10? 20? years ago which you cannot touch today with someone knows what is going on.

From there, I have always hit the hard copy of Shotgun News and the dealers who advertise there. No telling what one of them might turn up.

c). With all the "trade restrictions" down, you might try to find and contact Voere. No telling what they have for a parts depot. Might have a depot in USA. Import could be a pain, but...

d). Last, you have the thing made. Great metal workers love this kind of challange. And if they use brass or some other metal, it just might last a bit longer. LUCK.

Sorry about taking so long to post. Our computer was down. May end up trying to make the part from aluminum. Havn't had any luck finding the part. Thanks for the response.  greer
