The beretta Neos has neither.

The magazine disconnect can be removed on the new rugers with a $0.05 washer and a quick file/fit...or you can spend $2.00 for the "correct" part...but you still have the internal lock (but it's hardly noticeable).

There are others...but those are the two I recently purchased and am pleased with.

Thanks.  That is good to know about the Neos.

Are the mags on the Mk III Ruger the same as the one's for the Mk II Ruger?  I think they are different, but I can't remember.

Now does anyone make a revolver without stuff that isn't needed?

It will be years before there aren't an abundance of good used .22 pistols without that stuff.  Why worry?  I haven't bought a "new" gun in years (cept a couple of Contenders, and they don't have any of that stuff).

There is a lot of truth in your statement.  The problem is knowing which models have these things and which don't.  I understand that Browning has added a magazine disconnecter to the new Buckmarks.  Is that only the one's with the new fancy grip or is it all of them?  Do they have a lock also, or just the disconnecter?

Ruger has a lock on the Single Six now, but it is hidden under the grip.  Any idea how to tell whether a Single Six has the lock or not without pulling off the grip?

At least on the S&W revolvers you can see the lock.

They are different, but are also interchangeable...the difference is very minor.

Ruger yielded to the fear-mongers, but their engineers seem to have designed the lock with a wink.  The lock is out of sight and does not affect the handling or firing.  The newer Single Six remains a very fine, well priced revolver.

The newer Brownings have a mag disconnect only.  It is a wire installed in a channel under the right grip and it can easily be removed.  It hooks into the mag ejector button at the bottom and pulls the disconnector down and out of engagement with the arm on the sear whan a mag is not in the pistol.  Here's a pic:

There are some better pics and a better explanation here under the "Dissecting" tab:
