I bought me a new shotgun last night!
Walmart finally lowed down from back to school enough for me to venture in and check out there 12g selection.
I've been shopping around gun shops and pawn shops for a couple weeks now.
I tried every 12g pump they had.
Mavrick by Mossberg modell 88 - felt pretty good for a $177 gun. About like my 20g Mossy I got when I was 12.(no surprise there)
Mosseberg 500 - Stock felt like a 2x4. Couldn't get my eye anyware near the right spot. I have a fat head
$509
Remington 870 express - Much better feel than the 500. Smooter action than the others. $277
Mosseberg 835 - To big to carry for game birds.
So I told the guy " let me se that black one again. (the Mavrick)
Dang it this gun just feels right. Looks plain but feels right.
So for $177 I brought it home.
40 minutes later thanks to the government and walmart.
I got home with it and other than the feel of the plastic this gun is just like holding my 20g 500.
Nice forward balance and came right to my eye.
I can't wait to shoot it!
