michigan muzzleloader laws

I thought muzzleloaders were not regulated? I recently purchased a muzzleloader from Michigan on an auction site ? was told to send a driver licence copy & that it had to be sent through a FFL dealer to me & that it had to be sent to the address on the licence?Can it be sent by US mail? Any one know the laws as pertaining to muzzleloaders  being shipped out of Michigan? thanks in advance.

no  federal laws  exist but  some states with liberal democrats  have  such laws...i  am an  FFL  holder   in  Florida   and  must report  any shipments to California to California  got  the  letter a few weeks  ago from California....i   do  not do  business  with companies  that pay taxes in California  or  Massachusetts  i  don't  visit my family in Massachusetts  as  my  gun is not welcome  there .. i  guess  now  i  have  another  state  to  consider  boycotting  [just think if every gun owner took  that  hardline ]   sure  wish  the  NRA   would  pic a  worse state  every  year  to boycott  for  one  year

Part of that problem came up when a LEO was shot with a 45/70 in NYC.
His vest stopped the bullet ,but the shock turned his insides to mush.
I have asked cops around here and they say the 45/70 or 45/90 are their worst fears.
Or a 416 Rigby or some African rifle.
One told me they watched a video where a 45/90 ,300gr FMJ pushed the vest into the chest cavity of the test dummy.

I bought a T/C Hawken through midwayusa 3 years ago and it was mailed to Upper Michigan, perfectly legal.

2 years ago, I bought a Ruger Old Army and it needed a 10 day buyers permit in order to purchase it and mail it to Michigan.

Muzzleloading long guns (rifles or shotguns) are can be bought and sold in Michigan without a FFL requirement, but even muzzleloading handguns or blackpowder revolvers are treated as modern handguns/pistol or revolvers.

Please check with the laws yourself through the proper authorities.
