There was a gal by the name of "Calamity Jane" on here for awhile but, I haven't seen her posting for quite sometime now.  She even built herself a complete  1/3 scale pdr.

She has her own website.  An engineer from Canada, she did it right - planned it out and posted the ideas and building of it step by step.  One of our pioneering leaders.

Do a search on her 'handle' and you'll find her website too.

I married a cannon loving woman.  The big question is, "Would you ever cheat on a cannon carrying woman who could regularly outshoot both of her brothers with her cannon, a S&W 686 .357 Magnum?"  Well, I never even thought about it!  I like my hide unventilated, thank you.

Shoot straight and speak the truth.

Tracy
Smokin' my pipe on the mountings, sniffin' the mornin'-cool,
I walks in my old brown gaiters along o' my old brown mule,
With seventy gunners be'ind me, an' never a beggar forgets
It's only the pick of the Army that handles the dear little pets - 'Tss! 'Tss!

There are now quite a few female artillerymen in the NSSA.  If you watch my last video on the mortar match you'll see some of them.  The mortar crews in particular include quite a few women now.

I don't know how many times I've heard women say that the cannon is just a man thing.  They say they don't get it.  But then they think it's pretty cool when they see it, and they have a huge smile after they see it fired.  On my recent drive across Texas I was approached by several men who wanted to know about the howitzer, but not a single woman. That's a shame because I'd like to be approached by single women. :)

When I went to the range the first time to shoot my beercan mortar; my shooting buddy and his wife came along. His wife
had never wanted to shoot anything of his; but, she was interested in my mortar. After he and I had shot it  a few times
each; she decided that she wanted to try it as well. We told her how to load it and sight it and she got closer to the flag
than we did. If memory serves me correct; she shot it as much as we did. When we started to shoot regular guns; she
was still shooting the mortar. Who would have ever thought!!!!!!!!!!

I think we should start an active recruitment campaign.

I'll get to work on it this weekend...

This sounds like a great idea Terry and just think of the money we could save. Instead of having to buy the girls any new outfits to wear on these outings to the range all we'd have to do is go buy a Super Sharpie and add a large S in front of the H on all the free promotional T-shirts their given.
RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

Consider yourself luckey my wife doesent care if i do it and if i make her she will, but as a rule all the girls in my area care about is television and drugs. They are all for shooting cannons if drugs are involved.
