I have both the M48 and the M48A. one purchased from Mitchells(M48A) the other thru Gunbroker. I must say I love them both. The M48 I got for pretty much free.. in a way! I had the M48a and wanted a better trigger. I thought the military trigger was holding back on accuracy,, Boy was I right! I wanted the performance kit from Mitchels but at 400 plus for the one with the 2x7 scope and target trigger rings, etc was just too much $$$. But I found a complete gun for about 350 with the kit and moj sights installed. The heck with the scope.. The m48 with the target trigger and mojo sights shoots great. I recomend the Mauser. Never owned a Nagant but are aware of their presence! I am soon going to reload! A must with the Mauser. The little round that could! If you are not aware,, the Mojo sight. come in a few varations. I have the dual apeture(non Micro click) . you look straight at the center of the target. while a bit diffrent, you adapt instantly. just by looking down the sight you imediatly know what to do,, how to aim,, no six oclock hold, or ather variants on sight picture! It just plain works. The scope sit paitenly on my other mauser! Lonley and unused. There is only one thing. The Mojo sight were dead on at 100 yards when I got it. I can't imagine why some one would get rid of it! Bad times I guess! Both my mausers look brand new. Both came with all the accesories. Bayonet, frog cleaning kit. bore guide, sling etc. Mitchels Mausers are more exspensive than many others but I have no complaints, all numbers match .. look great and shoot even better. I did have to dracticly change elevation when I went to the hotter Sellier&Bellot 196 GR . they shot much higher,, even at twenty five yards. ith the drastic diffrence between American and full power loads.. you have to choose and sight in for that round. Were not just talking a inch here and there at 100 yards. A big diffrence.
