About time for another photographic adventure...
« on: August 25, 2008, 09:25:51 PM »
This is up between Carter and Crescent lake on the kenai pen.  This guy is definitely having a great day in the air.  We didn't have a bad day of fishing either.

Oh, and on that very same day...  You know how they talk about the mosquitos being bad in Alaska?  They weren't making any of that up.

Oh yeah, and you know how they were talking about high gas prices here?  They weren't making that up either.

This is what we call a "bait ball" a whole bunch of tiny bait fish schooling together.  These were candle fish.

This is what I like to call "dinner"  a ling cod and a halibut.  The ling was around 35# and the but around 30#.

Evening light on the gulf of Alaska.  Nice.  Cape Resurrection in the background.

Thank god for subsistance fishing...

That was fun and well done. Thanks.
I hate those ankle biters.
Blessings
