Is McCain Throwing The Election?

McCain has thrown the election. It is clear now with his choice for Vice President that he has no desire to win in November. Why else would he chose an inexperienced woman, whose only apparent qualification is that she won a beauty pageant in the 1980s? Why else would he refuse to say Barack Hussein Obama’s middle name? Why else would he run an ad praising Obama and congratulating him for winning the nomination?

If McCain had chosen Mitt Romney, a man with real leadership ability, real charisma, and real experience, he might have stood a chance. He could have made up for his lack of energy in confronting his opponent, his useless pandering to liberals, and his refusal to expose Obama’s leftism and inexperience. Instead he trumped inexperience with more inexperience. Obama, for all his far-left socialism, picked a running mate who is perceived as giving the ticket more experience. McCain, in defiance of all logic, undermined his strong suit by selecting a political neophyte who waters down his key advantage over Obama.

Of course, I can hear the calls already. Mike, you should give her a chance, she’s a real conservative. Mike, he’s just doing this because he knows he has to pander to win. Mike, isn’t it great that he picked a woman. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Picking someone because of their sex instead of their ability is the same kind of affirmative action insanity that the Democrats have shoved down our throats. We don’t want a panderer, we want a president. If he had chosen a woman who was a real nationalist with a real resume, I would have said, “Right on, John.” But McCain has dropped the ball, thrown in the towel, and raised the white flag. And a generation of Americans will pay for his mistake.

Are you a radio talk show guy or something?   ;D

I personally like the choice.  Everything I hear about her is encouraging.  I think it was a damn fine choice.
I've been pretty discouraged and frustrated lately, but I breathed a sigh of relief with this choice of VP running mate.
I don't think he has thrown the election away, far from it.

So, Michael Savage, if your'e out there, sorry.

Sara Palin has more executive experience than Obama, and she is only running for VP, not the big job.  She has been dealing with international issues with Canada, Japan, China, and Russia, all of which Alaska has direct social and economic dealings.  Canada is a major player since everything coming to Alaska or leaving Alaska to the lower 48 has to come through Canada.  The Alaska Ferry system stops in Canadian ports and runs through Canada.  She has been fighting corruption up here and has had a good success rate.  she stood up against the Republican Party and won.  She has done more to solve the countries energy crisis than any other politician in the nation.  She has been pushing AGIA to get a Gas pipeline to the lower 48 to help solve the nations energy crisis.  She stood up against the Big Oil companies, she pulled the leases that the oil companies have been sitting on for 30 years, and it has stood up in court.  She is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Alaska National Guard, she has been present to see the troops off every time they leave to Iraq.

Therefore don't say she don't have any experience.  She has more experience and a more proven record than Obama and Bidden put together.  Her approval rating is 80% up here, is Obama's that high?
Where is old Joe when we really need him?  Alaska Independence    Calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Aliens" is like calling Drug Dealers "Unlicensed Pharmacists"
What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

I would also like to note that she is a real hunter (unlike Clinton or Kerry) and a Life member of the NRA.
I'm with Sourdough, I think the she has proven that she has the guts to stand up and do what is right.

I think she will draw a good percentage of the Democratic women who would have voted for Hillery and are now pissed at Obama for not choosing Hillery to be his running mate.  I think it was a good move by McCain.

I loved how the democrats and liberals immediately cried she has no experience. The funny part she has more experience than the democrats candidate running for president. (Barrack hussein osama).  Just the name scares me.  I made up my mind the second I heard who McCain picked as it has several of my friends who did not plan to vote. We are all voting for McCain now. Life time member of the NRA. A true hunter and fisher. A holder of a concealed carry permit. I wish she and McCain would change places and let her be top dog.

  Ask the Alaskans among us ! I asked my sister, who with her husband and extended family are Alaskans for 35 years..
  Sarah Palin is the real thing !

   Claiming Palin was a mistake ..is a mistake in itself ! Ms says choosing someone for their gender rather than their ability..now how
   juvenile is that ? Why does he assume there is not great ability ? Ms doesn't know her..Alaskans do; and Alaskans .. shown by a
  nearly 90% support..say ms is dead wrong.. ;) :D ;D

  Ms..you accuse McCain of a "lack of energy" in confronting his opponents....guess you didn't see the "wipeout at Saddleback"... ;D :-*

   You even say (unless you delete it) that we would be wrong to support her  because she is a conservative..DUH !

  Your claim that Palin has "no real resume" is plain silly..she has as much resume as Washington, Lincoln and FDR...
      She even has a better resume than Clinton (either one) had..without all the filthy baggage.. :D

Listened to Savage when he was on the radio around here. Think he got burnt in a bad divorce, probably has a thing against women now. Mostly I remember him talking about was his little dog and sailing. They took him off the air in our area, don't really miss him, as he was on late at night, just before George Nore, now there is a peace of work.
As far as McCain picking Palin, she has the closest idea to what the average American is going thru. Most of these career politicans havn't a clue as to what the average joe has to do, to make ends meet. They don't think anything of dropping $40 or $50 for a brunch. She isn't that far removed from the real America. I think he did good by picking her.  gypsyman

without going into all the pro's and con's on his VP pick I think it would be wishful thinking that the female Hillary supporters now switch to her because she is a woman. If they supported Hillary their politics are much too far to the left of Mrs. Palin.

I think that that is about the best arguement that I have heard in awhile.  Even my boss, who makes $120K, has no clue what the average person deals with.  My boss means well and is a good person, but is out of touch after years of earning progressively larger salaries.  These dedicated, career politicians have meal allowances, housing reimbursements, office expense accounts, FAT, FAT salaries compared to my family's combined $40K......

  I have to agree with Dee and Gypsy, Savage is not a consevative..he is something else. Something that is often very abrasive..

  I do get a blast out of all the liberal talking heads who now say that one should not vote for a woman "just because she is a woman";
  doesn't jibe with what they have been saying for years.. :D ;D

  What they don't "get" is that folks will be voting for Palin..because she is "REAL"..no phony crap that most establishment politicians are.
  They will be even stronger supporters now that they see she has the same everyday, real problems that otyher honest humans face !

       Yes; she has a daughter that is pregnant out of wedlock..but we all know, each of us go down the "road of life", we come upon
   potholes in many places. Most of the pothole, we are able to avoid..but once in a while..we run smack into one.. :o

         Thje beautiful thing is that when faced with such a choice..she will do the right thing ! She will marry the young man and give that
   baby a loving home... :-*

  Killing that baby is not an option... >:(

I do believe that McCain has won the Presidency of the United States.  All of you Socialist Libs, read it and weep.  Palin is the real deal and her husband (aka First Dude) actually, gasp, shudder, works for a living.  You know, like gets his hands dirty.
In the FWIW dept: I'd rather have a Veep whose spouse has dirt under his fingernails than a Pres whose spouse only takes the silver spoon out of her mouth long enough to spew hatred at white Americans.  ;)

As far as "Savage" goes, I think he ought to go by his real name, Michael Wiener, as that pretty much represents what he is, in my opinion. For sure the Dems are going to throw everything they can at Sara, to try to get her out of the race, but it is going to bite them in the butt. Hopefully her speach on Wed. ( that apparently she is writting herself ) will propel her into the hearts of many middle-of-the-road voters. From what I gather, she has the smarts, the "girl next door" charm, and the toughness to do great things! Let the mass media keep hammering away at her, her Husband, their kids, etc. The more they do, the more folks will rally with the Palens, because
"they" are indeed "us". Hard work, good values, and...REAL. How many major politicians in the past have been interviewed, who have no idea of the cost of eggs, milk, etc., since they have maids, etc. who do such "mundane" things. I got a kick out of todays revelations that Joe Biden got 5 defermeant (sp?) from the draft, yet brags about his ability at sports. But look at how much the mass media played up Cheney's avoiding service.
Can you imagine the great photo op when Trak Pelan boards his bus, or plane, to be deployed, in a week,  with Sara and family there to see him off! It will be REAL ( I know I had tears in my eyes when I saw my son leave ).
One last thing, another GREAT upcoming GOP leader is Bobby Jindal. He WILL be POTUS one day!

I listened, I heard COULD, WOULD, OPINION and SHOULD, but I never once did hear DID. I think your supposed "proof" has some big holes in it. TrueMuslim7 once again you mix in a few facts with your fake blather and tout is as the "truth".

So since we can link sights that tout Chupacabra, bigfoot and the boogie man as real does that make them so? :D :D :D

  The "witness" was super, he claims Rep Tom Feeney came to him asking for a cheater program. So where does he prove that Rep
  Feeney came to him for this program..or is he a just a disgruntled Democrat !
  He based his claim that in his "opinion", if the actual vote doesn't match the exit polls..then "the voting was rigged" !

  Guess it never occured to him that the exit poll could have been rigged..or just plain inaccurate ! We have seen since then, that exit
  polls are getting more and more inaccurate every year. People are refusing to talk to exit poll workers and in some cases are outright
   lying.  Pollsters have said as much !

  I suspect that this election will be one that will differ greatly between the actual vote is and what the polls say. Many liberal folks are
  so "politically correct", that they don't want to admit they are not crazy (like some) over Obama, who is a "minority'.so they will lie to pollsters...but when the curtain closes behind them and they are ALONE in the voting booth...

   ms;

IG, you hit it on the head.  When that curtain closes and the need to bend over backwards to show everybody just how PC you are isn't in effect, the voters will wake up.
I think middle America will identify with Palin unlike anything since Harry was in office. I wouldn't be surprised to see McCain turn the reins over to her after 4 years instead of 8.

Yeah Buddy, those paper ballots really worked in Dade County where retired, expatriot New Yorkers that had been voting (and well paid for doing so) all their lives couldn't figure out a simple paper ballot.

ANY balloting process is open to fraud. Look at Chicago. Hell, look at WV. That is why you have reps from both sides overseeing the process.

This, of course, is why the whiners are still whining about the --ta da-- conspiracy in the Presidential election.

  NAH;
  If their candidate didn't win then they would say the pencil was rigged to make it mark a certain box or make a deformed X..

  Those displaced people may have been from a real political machine town and really didn't know how to vote, since there was always
   someone back home..near thje voting booth..ready and willing to do their voting for them ...  ;) :D ;D

   He TM;
   Thios Palen and possibly McCain may be the closest thing you are likely to get as an anti-neocon choice..better consider them !
