LYMAN 1200 OR RCBS 1500 FOR NEW POWDER DISPENCER/SCALE

Well the old dillion electronic scale finally bit the dust. Had a bit of a storm & it got cooked actually wet & shorted it out. also was starting to act a little erratic so it is time.

Let me know what you are using pros & cons of both how you like it etc. New purchase to be made shortly.

Here's a review of three popular dispensers, the two you asked about and the Pact. The Pact and the Lyman have been upgraded since the 6mmBR review, the Pact is the only US made machine, the other two are made in China. I have the same Lyman that was reviewed, but have upgraded with the DPS 3 upgrade kit, a very worth while investment of $21, much faster and very easy to empty when you're done, the two complaints in the review. The Pact has a lifetime warranty, except for the load cell which is covered for one year, the Lyman has a 1yr warranty, and the RCBS has a 2yr warranty.

For what it's worth I have a RCBS Chargemaster and I wouldn't want to reload without it.  I've never used the other one you're talking about, but you could check the reviews on midway.com & cabelas.com for both models.

You'd be hard pressed to find electronics in your home that are not made in China, most of the components in the PC and monitor you use to access this site are made in China.

I own a Lyman DPS3, I have not used a RCBS machine but don't see what it could do better than the Lyman.
If I needed to buy another I would not hesitate to buy the same again

I suspect they are all made by PACT I know my RCBS is as when I needed some service done on it they had me ship it directly to PACT for the repair many years ago.

I have used the RCBS Chargemaster for several years now and love it. I have had no problems other than leaving the powder drain open (operator error) and would buy it again if something happened to mine.

I'm soo glad I'm not the only guy who has done that!  It's such a simple mistake that is so aggrivating, but I've done it once or twice.

I have used the Chargemaster for over a year and have loaded thousands of rounds without a problem. I am a RCBS fan, though. I have not tried the others, and they are most likely very good as well, but you cannot go wrong with RCBS, in my mind.
