nagant disassembly
« on: August 31, 2008, 05:13:04 AM »
I was going to (finally) take my nagant to the range. I tried it at home for function and discovered that it will not eject a cartridge. The extractor holds fine but it seems as though the ejector is not sticking out far enough to eject the casing. I figure the spring is simply gummed up with cosmoline but I can't figure out how to remove the center screw to get the gun apart. can anyone explain the process?
One more thing... where can I get stripper clips? I have some but they are poorly made and would need severe rebending to work properly.

GREAT. I've got it spitting out the dummy rounds already. I had missed some cosmoline on the sides of the ejector. Thanks for that link.... lots of reading there.
