Need Advice on a Kids Bow

Son is 8 years old and he can pull back a 10 pounder. What's a good kids bow that won't break the bank?

Hey Jay,
I just bought my 8yr old a 15# PSE Buckeye Jr. recurve for $89.95 NIB about a month ago. I bought it at Kittery Trading post and they beat Cabela's and everyone else's prices I've seen.

15# is the lowest draw weight they come in but your son should be fine. Also the limbs can be swapped out for higher draw weights (20# & 25#) once he reaches that point. I already had a small PSE Scampi 2 recurve that my older kids used but it's RH and my 8yr old is a lefty so I went with what worked before and was not disappointed in the least. A very nice recurve, I highly recommend it.

If you're looking for a compound then a Mini Genesis or Genesis cannot be beat.
