This story just happened yesterday, July 30, 03.
A woman called the Osage sheriff Russell Cottle to report seeing a hugh adult monkey along Oklahoma 123 between Barnsdall and Bartlesville, Okla. The caller said she stopped on the side of the road when she saw a loarge white faced monkey. After she stopped, the adult monkey grabbed two little monkeys and ran into nearby woods. the caller told the police dispatcher. She later said they were hugh and ran on two legs. The sheriff sent a couple of duputies out to investigate but they came up with nothing.
Further developes will be reported.
Sounds to me she could have seen a Bigfoot. A couple of guys are going over to her house and show her some pictures of different apes, and she if she can tell which type she saw.

When I was a kid in Florida I saw the occasional monkey in the wild. Usually they were escapees from zoos or pet owners. There were also occasional exotic lizards and snakes (like pythons!) to be encountered in the suburban woods. Pirhanas were occasionally caught on hook and line in the everglades, but I never caught one myself. Some years later bums, drug dealers transvestite prostitutes, and the inevitable police took over a lot of the habitat and things haven't been quite the same since. Things were simpler when a boy could go about town with a blowgun in one hand and a Daisy BB gun in the other without worrying about attracting unwanted attention from both sides of the law.

I once lived in Okieland for eleven years. At one point the local weekly paper carried a story about "hyenas" being spotted by the locals. I wondered what the heck they saw until one day I saw a coyote which had the mange and lost most all his hair slinking away with that rump down lope like hyenas I've seen on TV use.

It was a curious sight.

I think that these monkey like creatures are very real, and I know just where they are coming from. :shock:
If you read in another post authored by Skeezix... Well you see, seems Skeezix been running around Nekked doing the horizontal mambo. :lol: Its more than likely that they could be his offspring :eek:
If theres anyone out there that knows Mr. Skeezix family tree (swinging from branch to branch) Then Im sure we could solve this mystery
