was at a gun shop thursday looking at a marlin .32 and my partner who was with me spotted a bisley 7 1/2 in the case. He called me over to look at it. The price was $325 the owner of the shop said it came with 3 boxes of factory ammo and a holster and rug. I really didnt have the money or need another .44 I told my partner who has been looking for a good hunting gun that it was a real good deal and he should buy it. HE didnt have cash with him so I said Id write a check and he could pay me back tommarow he got all excited and decided to buy it. I had the owner take it out so I could check it out and when I looked at it closely I saw THAT IT WAS A .41MAG!!!! I about cried! I wanted it so bad I could tasted it and my young partner was so excited about the deal that I had to let him have it. Dont worry though someday Ill get that thing away from him. Worse part was that we took it out in the woods on the way back to work and pasted a target up and I shot two 6 shot groups at 25 yards with the factory stuff and one went into an inch and one an inch and a quarter. HOW DUMB AM I!!!

I had one a few years ago and sold (for $375 for the gun only, just rubbing it in a little) because I did not like the grip. Now you probably have a bunch of other Bisleys that you love the grip on. To make yourself feel better tell yourself that Bullseye did not like the grip with a 41 so I would not either. Feel better yet?

By the way, I would say you are a very good friend. It will pay off someday.

3/4s of the handguns I have are bisleys they are by far my favorite handguns so I sure cant use that excuse

Tell him the check bounced and you'll be glad to take the gun back to the shop for him since you were already headed in that direction . . . . :grin:

You need to find him a 44, or purhase one for him so you can trade. Is your parntner as gun savy as you? If not tell him how hard a 41 is to feed unles you cast etc.
