Does anyone make custom or special rings in a variety of heights?  I like my scopes as low as posible and I run into the proble of rings that are either too high or too low all the time.

I would suggest the Brownells catalog as a source.  They list the heights of almost all the rings produced by the common makes and some not so common.  The other option would be custom built rings.  They are literally built to the height needed but costs are very high...

You might also contact S&K custom bases and rings.  I have a set of their skulptured rings on a Ruger No.1 and they are very well done.  Similar to the Conetrol, but easier to work with.

Lee D.:  I do know there are different height scope rings for Mauser rifles, depending on what sort of safety you have.  I would expect there are different height scope rings for a number of different rifles.  A the gunnut advised, Brownell's might ahve a listing of the heights availalbe for your particular rifle.  Hope this helps.  Mikey.
