10/22 magnum

I just purchased 7 firearms from a lady whose husband passed away. One is a ruger 10/22 magnum with two 10 round clips. I have not found this on the internet to get a value for it. It is in very good condition with one dent in the maple stock. Can anyone give me an idea of what it is worth???

Best idea to find out a close value might be to check gunbroker and see what they are going for.

I know one thing tho'...Ruger doesn't make them anymore so you came across a gem!

Would know.  They were dropped because of problems, but people still pay pretty good money for them.

I second rimfirecentral forums.
It seems all that I have looked at are $550 or more but that is just what I have looked at.

ask 700 on rimfire central and you just may get it. dont know why if the gun was any good ruger would still be making them. but some people are just dying to get them.

They stopped making them because they had trouble selling them.  The cost is high enough that people think twice about buying a rimfire when for a couple bucks more they could have a centerfire.  The ammo price is up there too.  And the competition with the 17HMR most likely cut the sales numbers down as well.  Even with the tooling and development costs taken care of it is not cheap to maintain the number of SKUs needed to make a product like this if it isn't selling.

The last one I saw was priced at $450 at a Gander Mountain, but was taken off the shelf and bought by the gunsmith when he found out that it had an aftermarket trigger.  This was while Ruger was still making them.

  They had trouble selling them because they BROKE!  On the other hand, Rem. is still making there "excelent" 597M, and mine has never failed to function or fire perfectly, since i bought it new several years ago...

  I know of more than one guy that bought the Rugers and had nothing but problems with them, Ruger even offered to buy them back!

The latest Blue Book list them as, 100% $550, 98% $425, 95% $365. and 90% $ 300.
