How do the Mossberg 930 shotguns hold up?
« on: September 05, 2008, 11:02:08 AM »
I'm curious about the mossberg 930 shotguns and if they hold up well over time and with a lot of use.  I'd be interested in using a slug barrel maybe for deer and maybe a regular barrel for clay pigieons & birds.

Anyone have one that has seen a lot of use of the years?  How do these compare the remington 1100 or 11-87?

I just bought mine in July. So far I have 250 rounds through it. 200 trap and 50 dove hunting last Monday. Not the first hiccup so far. I put a Limbsaver pad on it and it is the easiest kicking 12 gauge I've ever shot. Sorry, I know this doesn't help much, I know.

That actually helps out a lot.  I just wanted to see how well they held up, and I'd be using mine the same way you have used yours.

i just hope the dont discontinue them before i get a 930 tactical  with ghost ring sights bought , they have a history of just dropping their auto loader shotgun line  in a hurry , ive owned the720, 1000, 5500, and still got a 9200, and all of them were dropped in a short period of time ?
