OK--OK this could have gone in the Sig forum or the 1911 forum.
I like things here, if I can do it.
Why in the world would I even be thinking about a new pistola---if I didn't have one or if I didn't have a 1911 or even a carry pistol that would be different.
I admit too being a real dummy--OK!
Now I have been looking at the nitron 1911 Sig Carry pistol.
8 rounds of big ol .45 caliber bullets in a stainlss pistol with a 1911 format and SIG on the handles with a black nitron finish.
OML I think I just had another moment. I must be demented.
Anywho---any opinions ?

I have also been looking. They are very close to the 1911, I will add one to my collection soon. I currently have two Sig 45s, a 220 and 245. Both are great shooters, but the 1911 "look-a-like" really impresses me. Don't be fooled by thoise that insist parts are interchangable, they look like a 1911, but there are many differences. If Sig sticks their name on it, it has to be quality!

Only down side...............they sure are proud of them!

P.S. If I slip one in and the wife catches me, can I tell her I am just keeping it for you so you wife won't find out?

Sure ! I stays in nuff trouble round here that a little more won't be noticed.
I have stayed the devil a long time on this---it is getting tougher.

Am I correct in thinking that all the SIG 1911's utilize a recoil spring plug and guide instead of a full length guide rod? If so,that alone is reason enough to buy one, in my opinion.

It's "Fall off the log" easy to change your bushing barrelled 1911s to the original recoil configuration if that's a biggie to you. Costs a lot less than a new pistol! Of course any excuse to buy a new pistol works for me!!!

The only one I've ever gotten to play with wasn't a good representation of a 1911, it was bad enough the owner dumped it pretty quick and he is a diehard Sig fan.
I really believe they should stick with what they know.
