2008 Teal Opener:
« on: September 06, 2008, 02:54:23 PM »

My 2008 waterfowling season opened with a good shoot in the rain.  Lots of birds on a brand new place to hunt.  I'm excited to see how it holds big ducks next but there's obviously potential.

One reminder:  I got shot today at about 80 yards, close enough to break the skin underneath my under armor.  The shooter should have known better but no one is exempt from mistakes of judgement.  BE CAREFUL, it could have been my eye, and it could be anyone here next.

Nice bunch of ducks there. Looks like you fellas had fun. I have been shot before too,out duck hunting in 1975. Ruined my waders and broke the skin, stung pretty good.....but it too was an accident.
Nice picture also.
What state is this in?
Michigan doesn't have an early teal season. We have our early goose season right now,got one this morning.

Missouri opened yesterday, Kansas opens next weekend.  The hunt was near the stateline south of KC.

We open on Saturday and I can't wait.

I will be out of town all week for work, but should sneak out in time for opening morning.

mas19, I'm in the saginaw/bay area. I hunt mostly by Crow Island state game area, which is just 1/2 mile from my house.

Cool

I live in toledo (Attend UT) and have a cottage in coldwater. If you ever need someone to shoot some honkers or big ducks with let me know. I try to shoot birds everyday of the season haha. I already have all my Michigan Liceneses.

mas19 oh man,I'm sorry but I hunt mostly all private property around crow island...I can't give permission as my buddy owns the land. I've been hunting it since 1972, and can't give permission.
