I tend to stay with a 2" high setting on all my flat shooting rifles. You can hold on hair out to 300 with that and still put meat in the freezer. The 7mm-08 is a great little cartridge, I currently have 3. The BLR got 2 deer last year. I do like the 7mm, all started with the 7x57 and has gone to 7-30 Waters, 7mm-08, 280 Rem and 7 mag. DP
