Aperture size on stock BC peep
« on: September 07, 2008, 02:51:17 PM »
I should probably just PM this to Tim (since he probably knows), but does anybody know what size aperture the BC comes with stock?  I know I need a smaller one, but since this is my one and only peep sight and it isn't marked anywhere I can find I'm stumped as to what to order.

Kevin, if you look carefully, the Lyman aperature is marked with the size.

I've done everything but look at mine under a microscope.

See what size drill bit you can stick through it.

A 3/32 drill fit through mine and was a good fit.

The WGRS sight that comes on the BC is a Williams sight, so it won't be marked like the Lyman, even tho Lyman apertures will fit the WGRS. ;)

Drill bit suggestion gave me the idea to use a screw sizer guide. Matches up to 7/64 better than 3/32.  Makes it the .125 3/8 inch disk.
