What digital Nikon will accept the old Nikkor bayonet mount lens?

I want to use my lens kit from my 35mm days and their all quality Nikkor zooms and telephotos. Can I get an adaptor ring and use them on the D40 or D60? I also have some Minolta AF lens and would like to use those. Anyone willing to help?

not sure what ya have but I would bet they wont work.
if they fit the camera the camera still won't meter without
the electric lens contacts.

I have Nikkor, made by Nikon. They'll work fine with a D80 but I was wondering about the 40 and 60. I don't want to bet, I want to know.

I have 3 D80 Cameras and if they work and meter on that they will on nikon digital.
I use some older NIKOR AF lenses on my Nikon digitals such as 35-70 F2.8 and 70-200 F2.8
both are old push pull lenses,but the lenses that work with your D80
 WILL NOT AUTO FOCUS on the D40 ,D40x,or D60 these cameras need the new lens with auto
focus motor built in the lens as the auto focus motor is not in the body like your D80. What do you plan to shoot with the new digital set up?
Give me some more info on what you need and plan to shoot and a cost frame and I can help you pick one that will work.

Don't really have any subject matter in mind. Would just like a better camera than a Point-N-Shoot and I have these lenses that are collecting dust.
