Go here and scroll 3/4 of the way down the page and look for the Super Blackhawk mount.

I am working on this Super Blackhawk Scoping. My gun is new enough that the barrel warning is printed down by the ejector housing so I took it in to the Smith to look it over.
this guy strongly recommended not to get a B Square mount (shoots loose) and he will not even work with them. I personally dont know any better and this is just one smith's opinion.
I do know that I don't want anything coming loose and if it does, it would probably happen at the worst possible time.

I went with a Weigand mount. It is a drill and tap and I had to think about this for a few days cause I did not want any holes in that top strap either. In the end, I figure that I will never Sell this gun for any reason as it has been my habit not to sell. I figure that if I ever wanted to pull that mount that the holes could be filled with the flush mount screws and it would not be real conspicuous. Here is the Weigand site if you would decide to go that route.

Redhawk1...I am still looking at Scopes, Dots, and the Holo's...the 30mm Ultra Dot 4 or even the standard 30mm appear to be dependable through good reports and a good value for the dollar but that little Pan AV Holo is growing on me.

Myself I prefer the scope mount be attached to drilled and tapped holes. I don't like the look of the clamp on the barrel.
I had my BFR drilled and tapped for a scope mount, I have no regrets going it. Now the all come drilled and tapped from the factory.

glanceblamm, the Pan AV Holo are real nice, but so are the Ultra-dot Match Dots.

I ran this down for sure on the Match dot and could see the importance of being able to select a fine dot for sure for those small gaps at close ranges that one
runs across now & again.
Dumb question for you...If you are using a fixed 4"moa dot , does that mean that you would be covering a full 8" area @ 50yds? or a whopping 12" area
@ 25yds?. Theoretically this would seem to be true but I have never used one of these.

glanceblamm, the 4 moa dot does not get bigger at closer distances. I took mine out just to check and see. The dot remains (covers) the same size on the target at 25 as it does 50 and 100 yards.

Here's a photo of the one I use on MY SBH 44 mag. It also can be purchased with rings. NO GUNSMITHING NEEDED, unless you count removal of the rear sight as gunsmithing. I mounted a 4x Leupold and haven't regretted the move. 2X seems to make the target SMALER to me. 2x works for paper out to 125 yards though!

Interesting mount and it appears to be more rugged than a B Square...I was originally looking for one of these due to pictures posted but had no descriptions. How does that front clamp assembly work? You would have to get it around the barrel (perhaps threaded over the front sight then slid back with a set screw drawing it up tight?)
My Weigand is still new in box and I have other applications for it for sure. More comments would be appreciated as I am dying here ;D ;D
My instincts say to let the Smith mount the Weigand.

Edit: Never mind due to this similar post and replys in the Gen Discussion on this topic...I am not going to take the chance of one working loose.
