I will never forget that day. I would like to hear some stories of where you were and what you were doing when 911 happened. Here is my story. It was a beautiful morning here in SW Pa. We just started framing a two story house here in Scottdale Pa. Back then I lived 20 miles from here in the mountains. Well any ways the job we were working on had no power so we were using a generator because of the noise from the generator we were not listening to the radio. I had to go to the bathroom so I told my boss I needed to run to McDonald's a few miles up the road to use theirs. On my way there I heard ( on the radio ) a plane had hit one of the World Trade Center Towers. I went into McDonald's did my business and was on my way back to the job when I heard on the radio that a second plane hit the other tower. I stepped on the gas to get back to the job site because at this point I realise we are under attack. First thing I do when I get back is turn the generator off. I tell the guys what has happened and we turn on the truck radio to listen what is going on. The boss said pack it up. We only threw the power tools in the truck and left all the air hoses and electric cords lay. We all went to his house and watched the rest of the days events unfold on TV. The plane that crashed in Shanksville was one county over from me and less than 30 miles from my house. It has been reported that they received 911 calls from people as they were flying over Acme Pa which is where I lived then. I have tears come to my eyes every year at this time thinking about all the people that lost their lives that day. Dale

I had just finished up a week on the midnight shift and had just got home and turned the tv on to recieve the first report. My new scooter (read motorcycle) had been sitting in the garage for a full week and I had neglected it because of overtime and was anxious to go for a ride. This did not happen as I stuck close to the tv all day like you guys did.

I don't have much of a story. I was at work and listening to the radio as it happened. I just couldn't believe it.

I had a couple of friends that were in northern Quebec when it happened and they didn't know about it until a couple of days later when they tried to cross the border back into the U. S.

I was at work at the gun shop. Within the hour people were buying ammo and reloading supplies and trying to figger out how to get a firearm with out waiting the 10 days. (calif) A lot of PARKING LOT SALES were going on around the area.

I was a laid off Fireman working at a private ambulance  Just got off a 24 hr shift. I had an oral board with another fire department  in another city. So I rush home ,wake up the wife. Put on my suit & tie & rush to the interview. Secretarys were crying in the cheifs office. During the interview it was business as usual. It wasnt brought up at all. It was strange,

It was a beautiful morning and I was eating breakfast in preparation to head off to work.  I watched the whole thing unfold on television.  I went off to work kind of numb and mad, but that wasn't what sticks out in my mind the most.

On my crew, there was a mixture of political leanings and the most staunch, yellow-dog Dumbycrat of all, stood up at the morning crew meeting and with an obviously shaken demeanor said, "Guys, I thank God that George Bush was elected."

Well for your information the Book of the Devils, aka The Law of Moses, aka the OT, aka The Torah is what Jesus called all of that. The OT being a vengeful handbook for enslaving mankind under the domain of a master race. In the vernacular the OT is known as the Talmud. You support this stuff even though you claim to be a Christian. But if you support this stuff you definitely are not a Christian...a muzzie is closer to a Christian than you.
 What jesus thought of the jews John 8: 44.....Speaking to the Jews (John 8:44) Jesus says: "You are the children of your father, the Devil, and you want to follow your father's desires". The key words are "your father, the Devil. Jesus was the most in your face, anti-jewish activist the world has ever seen. Which is of course why they had him publically assassinated. Pity for you claiming to be a Christian but not understanding this one iota.

The Christian Bible did not even exist until about 400 years after the Jews had Jesus assassinated by Pontius Pilate because Jesus condemned the Torah (Pentateuch). So what is the truth about the economic and financial teachings of Jesus? The first thing that must be clearly understood for correct Bible analysis is that all canonized Bibles, regardless of any other considerations, are Jewish Bibles, not Christian Bibles. Logical context is crucially important. Correct Bible analysis must begin, and remain, in the context of the real life of Jesus and what he really taught, where he went, and his actions; particularly in the context of his condemnation of the Law of Moses' enslavement manual (Deuteronomy 15, etc., Torah), his condemnation of Jewish slavery and money laws, etc.

Then you claim this is a Christian country, but incorrectly even if you state it is Judaeo-Christian which actually means it is a jewish country because as Jesus pointed out the utter incompatibility of the two...even a muzzie could understand this. GJ. I have to agree. I got real angry at TM7 one time and said some things I should not have and by the way TM I am sorry for it but I have to say that every thread over the last few months has turned into personal attacks and I am about tired of hearing Godless sub human scum myself among other things. I think we all including myself need to take a step back and think before we type. I know I am guilty myself but at least I am trying. Some of you guys are just relentless though. Dale

PDMan. I do not agree with 99.9% of what TM says but you guys say it over and over and over and over again. We know his feelings about things by now it dose not need to be pointed out any longer. I hate Muslims also and nothing will ever change my mind like yours. Please just lighten up a bit before some of us asking what happened to Powderman and that goes for a few others. Did you see the post from Matt that said ENOUGH!!!!!! I don't want to see any of you go but trust me it can and will happen. It was a strange experience for me....I was driving my little beater car ( no radio ) from my house, in the sticks, to a new, short-term job assignment ( security, at an international aviation exposition...wierd ). Traffic as I got close to the "big city" was much less then usual, with other drivers acting/looking "wierd" ( they must have had working radio's ). So I park, find the site, walk in, and start getting tidbits of info. Since military aircraft were represented, folks were on pins and needles. Finally it was concelled, I drove home, and then learned what had happened.
We were given a black eye that day!!

I was still working, sitting my office, doing some paperwork, and was listening online to a classic rock station out of Singapore, when they announced that a plane had hit one of the towers.  I had recently seen a picture of a small plane that had hit a building in Rome when the pilot was showing off.  I thought it a similar incident.   When the word came on that it was an airliner, I went upstairs and we set up a television.  We were watching an interview when the second plane flew into the tower onscreen.  It was so unreal.  I was aware that my mind was not absorbing what I had seen.  The unreality lasted long enough for me to wonder if I were hallucinating. My thoughts then were that it was possible for over 20,000 people to die.  Then there was that period of uncertainity when the loss of the third airliner was announced and the strike on the Pentagon.  Sadness, anger, fear, and many other feelings were all mixed up.

  I was working in my blacksmith shop..radio on. First reports said "some kind' of explosion in tower #1 (they indicated a floor number);
  then came the report that it actually was an airplane that crashed into the tower. I thought that rather suspicious, knowing that
  airliners should not be flying that low anywhere near the city.
  Then came the report of the second tower being hit by an airliner..and any doubt was removed...I went directly into the house and
  informed my wife that we had been hit by terrorists.
    Not hard to figure out, since the idiots had tried (and failed) previously.
