My grandfather, Claus Alvin Stillman 1892-1980 used an 1894 in 25-35 for most of his adult life.
He was a homesteader in central Montana begining in the 1920's after returning from France and WWI, ran a sawmill, blacksmith shop and general jack of all trades. He mostly shot skunks, foxes and coyotes with it although it did provide much venison. It is now all beat to heck from laying in the bottom of the buckboard for many years, bore is unshootable but it is still with the family.
The closest he got to anyone of fame was as a child in Landusky MT, his mother took in wash and specialized in the high starch collars popular at the time. Her regular customer was Kid Curry.
Don't know if you will find many "famous" users of the 1892 and 1894, most were honest working folk like grandpa.
