May have to adjust my plans a little.

Just got off the phone to my Mom, it went from 3.54 to 4.39 down in central Ky. Figures as I have to go pick up my son down there tomorrow! I swear even that little thing of mine isn't going to help out if gas prices keep going up! I don't know what needs to be done, but something does. Gov. of Kentucky enacted some sort of act today to protect from price gouging, don't know if it will help, but it can't hurt.

gas jumped from 3.69 to 3.96 here guess they didn't want to get diferent numbers out

And I just this week made the first of a whole buncha payments on my new 2008 Toyota Sequoia full size SUV with a 371 HP engine.

Of course it actually is getting better mileage than my old truck I traded in on it. So far all the miles I've put on it the average is 17.5 mpg. My Tundra didn't do that well.

If ya can't get gas I guess it doesn't matter how big the vehicle is or what mileage it gets and right now for the weekend it looks like gas is gonna be hard to come by and for no really good reason in my opinion other than the oil companies want to gouge a bit more profit from us. I'm betting that come next week when the price exceeds $5 a gallon there is no shortage then and won't be as long as the price stays up there.

Not long ago someone maybe it was Dale asked the question "Will we ever see $3 a gallon gas again." Well nope I think not and in fact I don't think we'll ever see $4 a gallon gas again after this weekend. For those who said the price would drop right before the election do you still believe that?

I had to go to south carolina today and gas cost me 4.30 a gallon. The price of gas is what is hurting the economy. Unbelievable!!! When are we gonna get some relief. Our rich uncle needs to put his foot down.

We in KY are always 14-15 cents cheaper than accross the river in Indiana, til now. Gas accross the river is 14 cents cheaper than here at home. This proves price gouging to me. One local station, Marathon, is $3.85, the rest are $4.00 a gallon. What a ripoff. Gas went from $3.52 to $4 overnight. POWDERMAN.

All you guys are doing good if you pay less then 5 bucks a gal. We have been doing this for some time now in Nova Scotia except it went up overnight to 5.45 a gal. Like we had a hurricane or flood here, did I oversleep those events

Nashville to Seattle by way of Texas, New Mexico, Nevada, up the California coast thru Oregon. The southern Route.
Had planned on all the way to Alaska, but unless things change, that won't happen.

well if you get 30 mpg on your 9500 mile trip, it will cost you an extra $150 to take your trip. i wouldn't let that small amount ruin it.

(50c increase per gallon x the 316 gallons it would take you to go 9500 miles)

Heck , everyone around here is out of gas, some say tuesday trucks will come, others say maybe next sat , some dunno. I filled everything up thur. before the hike, caught the wind of it and sent 250 in one day.

Roughly 1/3 to 1/2 the gas stations in Nashville are out of gas. Many say they will not have any until mid-week.
Report on the news also said that prices are expected to jump as much as another $1, to over $5, by
week end.

I just read that oil prices have dropped significantly and that the refineries in TX weathered Ike well with little damage so that production should be up to normal within days. Now the question is will the gas prices come back down any where near where they were post Ike? Don't hold your breath.

THIS IS JUST WRONG PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe we should be shipping less gas out of the country. There is no shortage of gas here as of yet but what about you folks down there that have to make it to work? Do you think your boss is going to buy for a second that I could not buy gas anywhere? That is right up there with the dog ate my homework. This whole fuel problem here in the US is coming to a head and something needs done. We dumped 100's of billions into the war in Iraq and then they hand the Chinese a 300 billion ( could be 300 million not sure ) contract. Something is wrong here. Am I the only one that feels this way? Dale

At this point here we've had an increase but we still aren't over $4 a gallon.

Well, since my wife actually had a station owner here tell her that the price was going to $5 per gallon overnight and I believe that was on Wednesday last week -- I would have to say some jokers higher up in the fuel industry are trying to cause a run on the stations with rumors. Then with supply and demand they have an excuse to shoot over $5 per gallon....self fulfilling prophecies.

Around here most stations are out of gas and the few that still have it seem mostly out of regular and have only the higher octane higher priced gas in stock. Those out are hoping for more on Wednesday but some have no clue when they'll have gas again. Matt spoke to someone with kin out of state I forget where he said and they where told it could be two weeks before new supplies arrive.

The oil companies are trying to say it could be a couple weeks before power is restored and the refineries back on line. WHY? Even cat four and five hurricanes have never interuppted the flow in this way. Ike as a small cat 2 and yet it's doing this? No way it's merely a pretext to raise gas prices. This just might be the onset of that predicted declaration of marshal law folks have been expecting that prevents the coming election and keeps King George in power.

Filled up my diesel this morning , $3.89 a gal. , last week it was 4.07 . get 19.9 mpg .
the gas pumps were shut down NO GAS . Not bad for a full size Dodge 2500 4 door short bed
