which setup to start??

looking at rock chucker supreme master kit for $269, Lyman crusher 2 expert for $300 or crusher 2 expert 110 ( only difference I see is digital scales) for $305. I have had RCBS before and really liked it but I would have to buy a trimmer as an extra ( used to come with it I thought) No experience with Lyman, are they good quality or would you recommend RCBS and purchasing a trimmer? Looking for this is better than that but without arguing too much guys. Hard earned money being spent here.

There REALLY isn't that much real world difference in the quality and useability of the major brands like RCBS, Hornady, Redding and Lyman. All their top of the line presses are pretty darn nearly equal and all will last several life times of reloading. Pick the color you like and rest assured either will do fine for you. I personally use Hornady.

When you add in the price of a trimmer , your just about even , so as GB said - Pick a Color .

Both will serve you well for a lifetime with proper care , and I'd go with a beam scale myself .

I can not argue with the advice of the last two posters - they know what they are talking about. I really like the Speer reloading manual, it is my favorite, but I also have several others too. As far as a trimmer is concerned, I do the majority of it with a Lee Trimmer. They are cheap.

Lee Case Trimmers have to be as idiot proof as just about anything I have had to use.

Think of it as the first stretch of a long road.  You'll  keep adding stuff for years.  I had rather reload than shoot - so why do I keep buying rifles?

can get the Lyman as a turret press for another $25 or so, seems to me it would be worth it. Will the turret add trouble or just be a benefit?

The turret has its +s / -s , on the + side you can set up more than one set of dies and keep them set to were you want them , on the - side , if your like me once I load a batch of ammo I set everything back to zero as the next batch may be no were close to the last and it will need to be readjusted anyhow .

I have never used a Lyman turret so as far as changing the turrets I'm not sure how much trouble it would be , on my Lee turret I can keep the dies that I use over and over like my 223 and 224 GNR set up as they get the same loads all the time and just swap out the turret to load them .
