sig trail side ?

does anyone have one of these if so how do you like it ? also why did they stop producing them ?

The Trailside is a poor man's Hammerli 215 that has been on a diet and streamlined.  It sits low in the hand, is very pleasant to shoot [one of my favorite 22s], and can be match accurate.  The Achilles Heel was the trigger guard which has a tab that acts as a slide bumper.  Some of the tabs were cracking after a lot of rapid firing with high-velocity ammo.  The problem is probably sorted out by now, but it was enough of a hassle to piss off Sig.  The Euro version called the Xesse, essentially the same as the Trailside except for the grip, is still being made and imported by Larrysguns.com  Larry also does a great trigger job on Trailsides.

Had one traded it off and got a Browning Buckmark instead. It felt OK in hand but me and it didn't do well together.

I am considering the buckmark as well but the trailside seemed like it was only around a short time i don't know how long they were produced. Everyone i talk to says get a ruger but the grip is just not going fit my hand .

I've had mine a few years and I love it.  Very accurate (an inch or less at 25 yards with GreenTag ammo), dependable, and I don't intend to EVER sell it.  Use it mostly with target grade standard velocity ammo. 

I convinced my son to buy one & he is happy with his.   Accurate enough to instill confidence in his ability to shoot a handgun accurately.

I've had mine for a few years.  I shoot it alot and like it alot, but only with std vel or subsonic ammo.
