srh alaskan-want fluted cylinder to lighten carry?
« on: September 18, 2008, 01:09:52 PM »
crazy question. anyone know if srh and the Alaskan model use interchangeble cylinders? I assumed they did both being super red hawks, I'm thinking of getting a srh, in 44m. i'd really like an unfluted cylinder, i'd be interested in trading cylinders to get one, maybe with a little $ from my side, IF its even possible?any comments ideas etc.?

You are mostly kidding yourself if you think fluting a cylinder is gonna lighten it enough to tell the difference.

Bills absolutely right. The redhawks and super redhawks are heavy guns and there isnt much you can do that will put a noticeable dent in that weight.

I guess everyone missed that Gallad WANTED an unfluted cylinder and was looking to trade his fluted cylinder.
