You will have to set it outside tonight and give it a listen...On the cheaper ones the quality of the Mp3 is probably as good as the top of the line models but they just dont produce enough wattage to create any volume. The cost is reasonable enough to patch a Radio Shack mini-amp and auxillery speaker into the works and there is some great packaging ideas here if you backtrack to homemade elect caller or such.
I have built three using a Johnny Stewart along with an mp3 player and even a voice recorder that accepts the Mp3 format. The Son and Son-in-law have commandered all three units and I basically said good riddance as I really prefer the mouth calls and dont really care for the excess baggage except for maybe a decoy.

Stick with mouth calls.  You'll have much better luck.

Gave the little plastic box a try yesterday , overall not bad . I do like the fact that I can set it our about 25 yards from me and use it once the dogs get closer to keep them looking for it and not me .

Sound quality was not bad and range was also ok for what is , for under $30 out the door it should fit nicely into my calling set ups .

I haven't had any luck with mine.  I'm going to put a mini amp on it before the fur gets good and try it again.
Keep both eyes open and make the first shot good.
