Decided to take a personal day

and build a new knife. I went out in the garage and turned on the radio and went to work. Pretty soon I hear "I am Barack Obama and I approved this message". Then Jeremy Shocky starts in about how he is a football player for the Washington Redskins and the president of something called "The Hunters and Shooters Association" of America or something like that and "That both Barack Obama and John McCain will protect our 2nd Amendment rights but who will protect our jobs?" He continues on about how Obama is going to take care of all of us and McCain doesn't know anything about economics and with continue with the policies of Pres. Bush. I kind of tuned out after that.

Any one believe this nonsense( I'm being nice, this is a family friendly site)? He's flip flopped trying to get votes. I'm sure if he is elected he will flop right back the other way.

Well, maybe he wont try a direct assault on the 2nd, but my guess is that there will be heavy new taxes involved in all aspects of firearms ownership. The power to tax is the power to kill.

Personally, I wouldn't trust John McGore on the Second Amendment either, and probably not on a few other things, but I'm not crazy, or stupid enough to think that Osama and Fiden would be anything but detrimental to the 2nd, 1st, and who knows how many other Amendments. All one has to remember is that if a Dumbycrat is sitting in the White House, the fate of the Supreme Court is in severe jeopardy and so are we.

I'm hoping that McGore will be elected and then very shortly he will decide to turn it over to Gov. Palin. Yeah, I know, but one can hope and even pray if you're religious.

I think it is murder too, but I don't follow you on that one, please explain. By your definition, anyone who is voted in as President would be a murderer because babies are being killed daily, so if it took 30 days to get something past, then he is a murderer for 30 days, a little off I think! If you recall, Bush tried to get get Partial Birth Abortion stopped through Congress & a "JUDGE" put a stop to it. Bush has appointed Judges who would protect
babies, but the "Supreme Court" would have to replace more judges to make that happen because even a couple who were placed by Republicans in the past are Libs. So, it has to be done by Congress or the Supreme Court &
where the Pres. plays the part is by picking of all Judges, not just Supreme Courts, all judges that they appoint. I am not aware of a decree that can be passed down by a President, if you know how abortion can be stopped by a ruling of the President alone, please pass that info along so that if McClain/Palin get elected, we can inform them, of course if Obama gets elected it would not matter.

You made this unusual remark Cheese, so what say you? I would like for you to be right, but I don't see it.

I don't trust Obama, Biden, or McCain with much of anything. Only time will tell if Palin is Margaret Thatcheresque or not. If McCain gets elected I believe he will just lock her away somewhere as her views do not appear to be anything like his.

All Congress seems to be concerned with is getting re-elected and filling their pockets.

The Democratic party has become the Socialist party and the Republican party has taken their place.

I'm not too excited about this election because I think either way we are going to loose.

Not that I pay much attention to the talking heads on TV, much less the media pukes, but when are they going to ask any serious questions of Barry? Seems all you hear on the right side of the dial is all the dead horses that are supposed to be buried under his covers but seems all they want to do is fly to Alaska and try to dig up dead fish. Now the rumor mill is saying that Oct 5th Biden will bow out due to health problems and Hillary will be the next v.p. Enough of the grieve ditch the whole dysfunctional lot of them and start over. The sad part of this election is neither of the candidates are the right pick for the Presidency.The way our system is set up we have to choose one or the other. Wouldn't it be great to have a common sense working class man in office that isn't corrupted by politics and big money.Not much chance of this happening so I guess McCain and Palin got my vote.

That is one of the most ignorant things I've read. The President can't stop it. Hell, even Congress can't stop it (they've tried from time to time since Roe v. Wade). Only the SCOTUS can stop it (and we'll need more Republican picks for that to ever have a chance of happening).

I need to make a correction to my original post. My ISP died shortly after I posted this and It just came back today. In a senior moment I maligned Jeremy Shocky who plays football for New Orleans. The guy who made the campaign ad for Obama is named Shockey, just not Jeremy. Sorry about that.

What part of my prior post did you not understand. He could ask congress to do it, they could pass it, and the SCOTUS would knock it down. Pointless and futile. It's been done before. Only the SCOTUS is able to do it.

They did hold the majority for a while, but that does not explain how the President would overturn RBW, as stated before when the Rep. Congress passed the partial birth ban, a Judge overturned it.

So again I ask, how would the Pres. do this alone & by what legal means?
