What would a fair price for some Russian made 7.62x39-HP L.C.B. made to hunting specification non- corrosive ammo?  500 rds  Spare ammo I have around the house.  Rifle was stolen.

I take it this is the stuff in the white boxes? If so , is it 123grains?
for what it's worth , consider wolf 1000rds runs about $180 from AIM and shipping would be roughly 20 dollars give or take.
Now if that is the ammo I think it is , I am sure some feel it would be worth more than wolf , maybe true but not much. So if I were selling it , I would be about same  cost of wolf and maybe a bit less because my logic says , I want to make someone buy it from me "who they don't know" as compared to an established company. But you should be able to get 90 - 100 for it FTF , maybe even with shipping charges if you ship , like I said some feel this is better than wolf so will want it. If this is Barnual ammo, the same applies but I ramble to much
edit ,. when I said 1/2 cost of wolf , I ment 1/2 the price of the 1000rd pack

It's been a few years but the last case of 1000 rounds of it I bought cost me $100 and when I ended up selling it without firing any due to trading off the rifle I bought it for I only got $90 back for it so ended up losing $10 on the deal but I did get rid of it locally so no shipping was involved.

Shipping is gonna be costly.

what does "LCB" mean?  Lead core bullet?  Steel core Wolf is about $200/thousand as the man says.  I would try to sell it for $150 at a gun show and let someone low-ball me maybe.  Who knows?  People make a killing on the ignorant everyday.....forget what I said and post it on gunbroker as "rare".  Figure out the headstamp and be sure to include that in the posting.  It might make the sale.

Yeah , my t.v used to be a black and white and only had 3 channels you had to change by turning the knob. LOL. 100 dollars for 1000rds , them were the days  :'(, actually I remember the price GOING UP TO $100! , and thought , wow thats steep! :-\ At least for a while now the sky rocketing prices have stabilized , AIM's had the same price for a few months now. If I would've known then what I know now ................................

Thank you for the info.  I got the ammo when I got the rifle.  Never got a chance to shoot more than 50 rds from the rifle.

Bingo......what it used to be and what it is today is all you need to know.  You bought it right ands will sell for what it is percieved to be worth.

Are you shipping?  UPS or FEDEX are only options and spendy at that.

I'd start at .20 a round and give it a go.  You can buy many flavors at .20 a pop AND shipping is extra so a local sale is favorable in my opinion.

If I too saw these ammo prices coming I would have loaded MORE of the basement.  I'm sitting pretty or I'd send an offer.

My opinion the hunting load thing is a marketing ploy....not many rounds get fired AT anything in particular from a x39 rifle.  Think about this....thousands of rounds of x39 fired and about 30 have been at something breathing and of that 8 rounds were at deer.

Whoops....Ditto print headstamp and good pics, Brass cased or Steel, boxer or berdan primed etc.  Just don't call it sniper ammo :):):)
