S.A XD barrel swap?

anyone know if you can swap barrels on Springfeild Armory XD pistols?
say a 40 S&W barrel out and put a 9mm barrel in??
i have a 3" compact in 40 and i am looking to shot 9mm with another barrel.

I am not exactly sure on the Springfield XD, however on the Sigs I own to go from 40/357 sig to a 9 it will require a new upper for sure, the 40/357 share the same bolt face and magazine, where the 9mm is a smaller (thinner) mag and the bolt face is also smaller, so I will say it isnt a go,  HTH   Jim

Check out www . pistolgear . com.  They sell Conversion barrels that allow you to go from .40 s&w down to a 9mm. They are runnig at $150.
