45 colt and vihtavouri N330 powder
« on: August 03, 2003, 03:01:11 PM »
Heyya Ya'll

During the Northwest Regional I bought some of this powder on recommendation by a good pard I know.

Currently I am using 6.2 grains of WW 231 with a 200 grain bullet.

I am curious if anyone else is using the Vihtavouri powder in 45 colt, and if you like it, and why.

The Vihtavouri manual says 6.8 grains of N330 with a 200 gr rnfp bullet.  It also says to TAPER crimp the loads.  Which crimp die comes with the dillon equipment?? (I have a dillon 650)  What happens if I use a roll crimp instead?  Less positive ignition?
