optima and dry firing?

I have a CVA qotima 50 cal and would like to practice triger squeeze. Can it be dry fired without damage?

yes, it should'nt hurt it none, if it breaks then it was already about to break.

The book that came with mine,cautions against dryfireing.In fact it says not to do it. I dryfired mine a few times,before I read the instructions and nothing happened.   Digger
