Bear Load

Guys,
I am posting a link for a post I made on the Contender Forum.

Read the post first or you will not know what the he!! I am talking about

Being pretty new to loading and limited time to work up a load
I could use some input for a safe load that will fill my needs.

I have lots of 30 cal. bullets to choose from and a few 7mm to work with
Any input would be great so I could load up a load and sight it in Saturday
since that is the only day I have between now and opening day after I get the stand set up.

I know :-\ but this Bear thing fell into my lap

  MY advice is to just buy a box or 2 of factory ammo, Practice with a half to a full box. That way you will have a better idea what YOU and the gun are capable of. NEXT year ,after a summer of load work up and practice, you will have a better idea on what to use. I still think the 170 grain bullets will work best for you!

Thanks, but that is not an option for me :-\
We are talking hick town here and could not buy
a 7MM-08 let alone 7-30 Waters :-\

Forget both and haul out the 416Wby. Any bear that can take a crap that big will probably eat a half dozen Contenders for a snack!

From the list that you provided...Nosler Partitions in the 7-30 and either of the 150 RNs for the 30-30.
