:-) That's cool. Doves are one thing. Pigeons are another.
I knew it wasn't a mourning dove -- the kind we hunt here in Tennessee. But it didn't look like anything we call pigeons around here, either. From the subject heading, I gathered there was a subspecies of migratory dove out west that I wasn't familiar with. Y'all have got all kinds of birds and animals on the other side of the river that are not exactly like what we have.
The main thing was that I didn't want some youngster to see the post, then go out and bust a dove with a .223 while groundhog hunting and get in trouble for it.
The changed heading addressed my concern.
That's pretty good shooting for a boomer like that, by the way.
