Email from Hi-Point
« on: September 24, 2008, 04:33:15 AM »
Dear Mr. Lacy,

The Hi-Point factory still has not started production for the .45 ACP carbine.  We’ve been informed it will be available early 2009, but we haven't been given a definite date yet.

We will be updating our website www.hi-pointfirearms.com when the carbine is released and being shipped; please check on the site now and then for any news.  We’ll be keeping you posted as best we can.

With that being said, the new stock should be release at the same time as the 4595.  Our company representative is in Mansfield today visiting the factory, so hopefully he will have some news for us when he returns tomorrow.  I wish I had a more definitive answer for you, but we’re still waiting too.

You’re more than welcome to check back with us anytime; maybe next time I’ll have some better news!  Thank you for your patience and support for Hi-Point, it’s really appreciated.

I'm voting 3rd party in this election by writing in Jesus Christ for president.  Sadly even if this were an option most of you would still vote Republican because "It's a two party system."

Sounds alot like my reply of years back when the .40 came out.  I inquired onthe .45 option.  Got a reply in about 20 minutes from a gent at B-MIller and said "not yet- but rest assured it is in planning"

I havenever needed to return a Hi point for any reason but I am confident I could if need be.

I had to send my 9mm carbine back for a stock replacement because the original had cracked.  Not only did they replace the stock, they also added all the factory upgrades that were relevant to the gun.  None of this cost me a thing other than the shipping back to the factory....and it took only about a week to do the work and ship from and to Alaska!
