Deer Hunting Techniques in the "BIG WOODS"

Hey guys, just interested in your hunting techniques for the elusive whitetail in our HUGE National Forest. There are hardly any hunters in the NF anymore and there is a LOT of territory out there for the big boys to hide.
How do you guys approach this?

I try to cover as much ground as possible. Still hunting at a variable pace is my favorite method. I figure if their not moving, than we will not run into each other unless i move.

Lots of stuff you can try.
Given you have scouted the area.
Putting out scent, making artificial scrapes, and calling or rattling, may get a buck thinking you are another buck invading his territory.

Don't have a lot of experience with NP hunting but when I did, I found an acorn ridge and sat on top - waited for the deer to come to me. When I could hear a deer below me and could not see it, I stood and hid behind my tree and listened for it to approach. Worked for me.
