The cold can beat up most any lure to some extent and hold the odor down.
I'm here in WI and try to trap most my coon before it gets really cold.
I use more than one brand of lure every fall and have a mix of odd stuff for coon.  My all around favorite and go to lure is Carmen's Pro Choice #1 coon lure.  It has a kind of hang in there, can't get rid of smell. The rain coat I wear on the trap line starts smelling of the stuff every time it even gets a little damp. It's just the odor I can't wash out as I have washed the coat several times. I also have really never had the lure in my pocket, I use a fanny pack. But just the hand wipe here and the dribble there gets the coat gunk-ed up.
It has some real hang time and works for me.

For colder weather coon,I use Blackies Fatal Attraction--it is a bait not a lure, but it is a very strong shellfish. You can smell it before you get to your set--even in colder weather.

Get everything ready  (traps and equip) so opening day you can go out and lay steel.   Also know where you  are going to trap and how many traps per locations... Early in season , gang setting pays off as coon families still together.  Make sure you have alot of sets out or  go set more when you hear of a  big cold front or storm coming in as coon really travel just before a big weather change.... Happy skinning!

RDFX,

We can't start till the 2nd of November to hit the coons.  We get snow and freeze up is just around the corner.  I plan on hitting the river that flows through town and  yes I will gang set everything i can.  We get a warm snap in the middle to the end of Nov. most years and if a guy is on the ball he can snag a bunch of coon in a short while.  Take charge!!!!!

the best coon lure I have ever used in cold weather, without a doubt and no second best- is ProCoon by Stef Forget.

Its the only coon lure I have ever used that stands up to cold weather- and I've used the ones mentioned here, and many, many others including hardcore, which was what I decided was MY best bet coon lure for me. But hardcore fails in cold weather

I trap coon in as cold and snowy conditions as anyone, anywhere- I trap coon all winter, and that includes sub sero weather at times. And no, most coon don't "run" per se in that type of weather- but you would be surprised at the fact that some DO run.

ProCoon absolutley does not freeze, and it doesn't matter the temps, is always ready and waitng to work for you.

and yes, before someone says it- I do sell it- but I can sell you a bottle of any type or kind of coon lure you would like-

I recommend it so highly because of how it performs in the field- and THATS why I sell it.
